Restock & stock adjustment
These two pages change your stock. Every change is recorded with a reference number, so you can always see why stock went up or down.
Which one do I use?
| Situation | Use |
|---|---|
| Stock arrived from a supplier | Restock — you enter how many arrived, and they're added. |
| Items damaged, expired, lost or stolen | Stock Adjustment — you enter how many you have now. |
| Stock count doesn't match the shelf | Stock Adjustment with reason Stock Count Correction. |
Restock — record new stock
1
Open the Restock page
- 1 In the left menu, click Inventory › Restock. You'll see your recent restocks with their total cost.
- 2 Click + New Restock.
2
Enter the delivery details and find products
- 1 Supplier Name (optional) — who delivered it.
- 2 Remark (optional) — e.g. the supplier's invoice number, so you can match it later.
- 3 Type part of a product name or barcode in the search box.
- 4 Click the product in the list to add it. You'll see its current cost and stock.
3
Enter quantities and cost, then submit
For each product you added:
- 1 Qty — how many arrived. This is added on top of the current stock.
- 2 Cost — what you paid per unit this time. It starts at the product's cost price.
- 3 ✕ removes a line you added by mistake.
- 4 Total Cost adds everything up. Check it against the supplier's invoice.
- 5 Click Submit Restock.
Supplier price changed? The Cost you type here is saved with this restock only. It doesn't change the product's Cost Price. Update that on the product itself so profit reports stay accurate. See Change the price.
4
Done — stock is updated
The restock appears at the top of Restock History with its own number (e.g. RST-20260923-312), supplier, items and remark. The stock of each product goes up straight away. In this example, Milo went from 24 to 48.
The list shows the last 2 months. Click View Older Restocks to see earlier ones.
Made a mistake?A submitted restock can't be edited or deleted. To fix the stock, use a Stock Adjustment with reason Stock Count Correction, and explain it in the Remark.
Stock Adjustment — correct stock
5
Open the Stock Adjustment page
- 1 Click Inventory › Stock Adjustment.
- 2 Click + New Adjustment.
6
Enter the reason and the new count
- 1 Reason — choose one: Stock Count Correction, Damaged, Expired, Lost / Theft, Found / Extra or Other.
- 2 Remark (optional) — what happened.
- 3 Search for the product and click it to add it.
- 4 New Qty — type how many you actually have now, not how many to remove.
- 5 WiPOS shows the current stock and the difference (red = down, green = up). Here: 18 on record, 16 counted, so −2.
- 6 Click Submit Adjustment.
You can add several products to one adjustment. Products whose New Qty equals the current stock are skipped. If nothing changed, you'll see “Add at least one product with a changed quantity.”
TipCount stock when the shop is quiet. A sale made after you counted but before you submit will make the new count slightly off.
7
Done — check the history
- 1 The adjustment appears at the top with its number, reason, date, who made it, and the change for each product.
- 2 The summary shows the Net Value Impact: the stock change × cost price, added up. A red number is value lost, for example to damage or expiry.
