Packages (promo bundles)

A package sells several of your products together at a special price, like a breakfast set or a combo deal. You don't create new products for it. A package is built from products you already have, and it follows their stock automatically.

How packages are organised

  • A Package is the name customers see, e.g. Breakfast Set.
  • Each package has one or more Options, each with its own price, e.g. Regular Set RM 6.90 and Family Set RM 24.90.
  • Each option contains products and quantities, e.g. 1× Kopi O Ais + 1× Gardenia.
1

Open the Packages page

  1. 1 Click Inventory › Packages in the left menu.
  2. 2 Click + New Package.
2

Name the package

  1. 1 Package Name * — what staff and customers will see.
  2. 2 Description (optional) — a short note.
  3. 3 Active (sellable in POS) — leave ticked to sell it straight away.
  4. 4 Click Save.
3

Add an option

A new package has no options yet, so it can't be sold.

  1. 1 Click the package's row to open it (click again to close it).
  2. 2 Click + Add Option.
4

Set the option's name and price

  1. 1 Option Name * — e.g. Regular Set.
  2. 2 Price (RM) * — what the customer pays for the whole set.
  3. 3 Active — untick to stop selling just this option.
  4. 4 Click Manage Items to choose what's in it.
5

Choose the products

  1. 1 Search by name or barcode to find products quickly.
  2. 2 Click a product to tick it. Click again to untick. Each row shows its current stock.
  3. 3 Set how many of that product go into the set.
  4. 4 The count of selected products is shown below the list.
  5. 5 Click Done.
6

Check and save the option

  1. 1 Manage Items now shows how many products are in the set. Click it again to change them.
  2. 2 The summary lists the contents, e.g. 1× Kopi O Ais, 1× Gardenia Original Classic.
  3. 3 Click Save.

Repeat steps 3–6 to add more options, such as a bigger Family Set.

TipPrice the set below the total of its products bought separately. Here, Kopi O Ais (RM 3.50) + Gardenia (RM 4.20) = RM 7.70, so the Regular Set at RM 6.90 saves the customer RM 0.80.

Understand Available and Unavailable

WiPOS checks every option against your stock live:

  1. 1 Available — there's enough stock of every product in the set.
  2. 2 Unavailable — at least one product doesn't have enough stock.
  3. 3 The red line tells you which product is short. Here the Family Set needs 4 bottles of water but only 3 are in stock.
  4. 4 ✏️ edits an option: its name, price or contents.
  5. 5 🗑 deletes an option.
Good to knowAn option becomes Available again as soon as you restock the missing product. There's nothing to update on the package. Products with Backorder Allowed never make an option unavailable.
8

Hide, edit or delete a package Optional

  1. 1 The arrow opens or closes the package.
  2. 2 Click Active to switch the whole package to Inactive. It stops showing at the counter but isn't deleted. Click again to bring it back, e.g. for a promotion that runs every month.
  3. 3 ✏️ changes the package name or description.
  4. 4 🗑 deletes the package and all its options. This can't be undone.

What happens when a package is sold

  • Staff pick the package and option on the WiPOS checkout screen. It appears as one line on the bill and receipt, at the package price.
  • Stock is reduced for each product inside the set. Selling one Regular Set takes 1 Kopi O Ais and 1 Gardenia out of stock.
  • To see how well your packages sell, go to Reports › Package Performance.
Looking for Discounts? The Inventory › Discounts page is coming soon. For now, discounts are applied at checkout in the WiPOS app.
